Ainsley Davis is a Staff Writer for Grandstand Magazine. She is a senior at the University of Florida studying journalism with a concentration in sports and media. She is passionate about telling stories that go beyond the box score, blending reporting with social-first digital storytelling and video production to connect with modern audiences.

Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Ainsley developed a deep appreciation for passionate fan bases, rivalries and the emotional pull of sports. That influence continues to shape her approach to storytelling, as she gravitates toward narratives that highlight the people, moments and energy behind the game.

At UF, Ainsley has gained experience across writing, on-camera and production roles for student-run media outlets. She has a strong interest in video editing and social content, often creating short-form videos and graphics designed to engage audiences. Her work spans game coverage, interviews and behind-the-scenes content, with a focus on basketball and college athletics.

Ainsley is also working as a Social Media Intern with Hoops HQ, where she produces digital content centered on college basketball. In that role, she contributes to podcast production, content planning and trend-driven social posts, sharpening her ability to create timely, engaging coverage for a national audience.

As a Staff Writer for Grandstand, Ainsley is excited to help build a publication that blends strong reporting with creative digital content. She hopes to pursue a career in sports media or digital content creation, covering basketball and other sports with the same passion she grew up watching in Philadelphia.
