Angelina Pavlakis

Angelina Pavlakis is a Staff Writer for Grandstand Magazine. She is a fourth-year journalism student from Cold Spring Harbor, New York, with a concentration in sports and media with a minor in communication studies.

Her coursework has exposed her to multiple areas of sports journalism, from reporting and media analysis to the broader ways sports intersect with culture and communication. Through her work, she is focused on developing her voice as a writer and gaining experience across different types of sports coverage.

After graduation, Angelina plans to attend law school and pursue a career as an attorney, with a potential interest in sports and entertainment law. Outside of the classroom, she plays club lacrosse and enjoys staying connected to sports from both the athlete and media perspectives.

She is drawn to stories that look beyond the final score and explore what sports reveal about people, institutions and the moments that bring them together.
