Daniela Ortiz

Daniela Ortiz is the Lead Design Manager for Grandstand Magazine. She is a junior at the University of Florida, majoring in journalism with a concentration in sports and media.

Originally from Miami, Daniela has built experience across multiple student media outlets on campus. She previously wrote for The Independent Florida Alligator and WRUF before joining Grandstand Magazine.

Hockey is Daniela's favorite sport to watch, and she hopes to break into sports media after graduation— ideally covering the game she loves most. Outside of journalism, you'll find her drawing or hanging out with her roommate's cats.
