Lily Perkins

Lily Perkins is a Staff Writer for Grandstand Magazine. She is a junior at the University of Florida studying journalism with a specialization in sports and media. She hopes to pursue a career in print journalism, with a focus on sports and long-form storytelling. An avid IndyCar and Formula One fan, her dream job would be to write for Motorsport Magazine.

Although she enjoys reporting on sports in any capacity, she is most drawn to stories that go beyond the final score and explore the emotions and events that led to it. She has experience covering sports and a variety of other topics through her reporting at WRUF-ESPN Gainesville, Swimming World Magazine and Her Campus UFL.

On any given day off, you're likely to find her browsing the New York Times cooking section, turning on reruns of Vanderpump Rules or binge-watching Netflix documentaries with her friends.
